The entertainment world is filled with politically ignorant liberals. But this week, Donald Trump got a huge endorsement from a wildly popular rock and roll legend.
In the latest issue of Rolling Stone Magazine, Kid Rock has announced that he is supporting the outspoken billionaire GOP candidate.
Kid Rock, whose birth name is Robert James Ritchie, said he is “digging Trump”. He added that if Clinton, Sanders, Rubio or Cruz were to be elected, “there’s going to be the same shit”.
He doesn’t see a big difference between the two parties. And while he claims to be more libertarian than conservative or liberal, he wants to pick a side instead of walking down the wishy-washy middle.
He campaigned for Mitt Romney in 2012, but proclaims that he is not a die-hard Republican. “I don’t like the hardcore views on either side and I’m not in bed with anybody.”
The singer said he thinks Trump’s business experience is exactly what the country needs right now. He told Rolling Stone, “My feeling is, let the motherf*ing business guy run it like a f*ing business.”
He also said he finds Trump’s unconventional campaign “entertaining as sh*t.”
When asked whether he thinks Trump can actually win the general election, he said, “I think he will. I’m not an expert at political science or anything. But it’s not really working too well running it not like a business. I mean, what business f*ing survives when they’re f*ing broke?”
It’s not surprising that Kid Rock is supporting Trump. They are both successful rebels who like to break the rules. And yes, they’re both entertaining as Hell.
