Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has warned the rest of the world that North Korea is more dangerous than we feared.
According to Conservative Fighters, the Prime Minister said that North Korea may have “the capability to deliver missiles equipped with sarin nerve agent.”
Analysts have said North Korea could be preparing for nuclear tests, and Abe supported the claims by coming out to the press and saying that “the security situation” in Japan is “getting extremely severe.” He made the remarks during a Japanese parliament committee meeting.
“We have just talked about Syria,” Abe said. “There is a possibility that North Korea already has a capability to put sarin on warheads to strike the ground.” However, the Prime Minister has made no mention of intel that would prove his assertions about North Korea.
Conservative Fighters says that “North Korea is one of only six countries not to have signed or acceded to the Chemical Weapons Convention and is believed to have large stockpiles of chemical agents.” Aside from being scary for Japan, this is also frightening news for the United States.
Sarin attacks, which were mentioned by the Japanese Prime Minister, were used in the recent attacks in Syria. Sarin is a colorless, odorless, nerve agent which causes horrific pain in it’s victims. It causes loss of muscle control and control over bodily functions, is reported to be excruciating, and can result in death within 10 minutes.
According to the Washington Post, “Kim Jong Un’s regime already has lots of missiles that can reach Japan.” The Post said that officials are genuinely concerned, and “the Japanese government is preparing its citizens in case a missile comes their way — possibly with less than 10 minutes’ warning.”
President Trump must show North Korea that the United States will not tolerate the use of chemical weapons, and will not be bullied by the threats of a dictator from a failing country. Keep Japan in your prayers, as well as our great nation!
