On January 20, the Obama family will move out of the White House and into a multi-million dollar mansion located in the ritzy Washington D.C. suburb of Kalorama.
The Obamas claim they chose to move into this neighborhood due to it’s proximity to their daughter Sasha’s high school. However, what was just discovered around the corner from their home indicates they might have chosen this location for a very different reason.
According to The Daily Caller, the home the Obamas will be living in after leaving the White House is located just 1,096 feet from the Islamic Center of Washington, which is one of the largest mosques in the Western Hemisphere.
“It provides Qur’an and Islamic Literature and distribution of such publications that would create awareness and knowledge of Islamic Truth,” the mosque’s website reads.
The enormous mosque holds Islamic prayers five times a day and is decorated with horseshoe arches, Arabic script and a tall, ornate minaret on the outside of it.
The center is within walking distance of the new Obama mansion, which is 8,200-square-feet and has eight bedrooms. The Obamas are planning to stay there at least until Sasha finishes high school at the end of 2018.
Though Obama claims to be a Christian, he has been fighting rumors that he is secretly a Muslim ever since he first took office. These rumors stem from the fact that Obama has made many moves against Christians as president while also favoring Muslims and their causes.
Given the rumors about his religion, it’s very odd that Obama would choose to move near one of the largest mosques in the Western world. Unless, of course, he plans to worship there himself…
