Earlier this week, we reported that Barack Obama’s half-brother Malik had publicly turned on him by announcing he would be voting for Donald Trump in this election. On Wednesday morning, Malik explained his decision to the television show Good Morning Britain in an appearance in which he also bashed his brother.
“[Barack] has this attitude like ‘I’m the president, I’ve made it, I’m the star here’. I do understand that but I’m just expressing my opinion and how I feel,” Malik told the British TV show, according to The Mirror.
“Looking back, he made so many promises when he was running for president,” Malik continued. “He was riding on the promise of hope. There was so much excitement and we thought he would do so many things. But look at the Middle East right now. It’s a mess. People are being killed all over the place; Berlin, Florida, France, Brussels. And look at the situation in Iraq right now.”
Malik then dropped a bombshell when he revealed Obama isn’t nearly as close to his Kenyan family as he likes it to appear that he is. In reality, Obama never makes time to see Malik, and makes it as difficult for his brother to get to him as possible.
“I have to go through this woman and make a request, saying I would like to see him,” Malik added. “Then I just have to wait. The last time I requested to see him was June 15th and I’ve only just got a response. And that’s how it usually works. It all depends on whether there’s an opening in his diary.”
Malik closed the interview by saying he is proud to be a Trump supporter.
“Something is going on with Hilary that I don’t like,” he explained. “Donald on the other hand, he speaks his mind and is straight forward. And remember, the Republican party is the party of Abraham Lincoln – who freed slaves and freed the black man.”
Welcome to Team Trump, Malik Obama!
