According to a recent report on The Blaze, Reuters reported today that, “North Korean state-run media has claimed that the country will launch a ‘super-mighty preemptive strike’ against the United States following statements by members of President Donald Trump’s administration that the U.S. intends to increase pressure on the Hermit Kingdom.”
This declaration comes only a few days after North Korea suffered international embarrassment after it had a failed missile launch. They are now talking about attacking the U.S. While no sane person would try to wage war on the United States, with our massive military and economic power, the ruler of North Korea is not known for his sanity.
A statement in the North Korean Rodong Sinmun newspaper declared: “In the case of our super-mighty preemptive strike being launched, it will completely and immediately wipe out not only U.S. imperialists’ invasion forces in South Korea and its surrounding areas but the U.S. mainland and reduce them to ashes.”
Reuters has stated that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson recently said the U.S. is “reviewing all the status of North Korea, both in terms of state sponsorship of terrorism as well as the other ways in which we can bring pressure on the regime in Pyongyang to re-engage with us, but re-engage with us on a different footing than past talks have been held.”
Does North Korea really think they can scare the United States with their talk of “reducing us to ashes?” Are you scared by these statements? Let us know your thoughts in the comments, below!
