There are already allegations of a sex scandal within the incoming Trump administration.
Jason Miller resigned from his position as future White House communications director on Saturday, only two days after being offered the job. The whispers among Trump staffers is that Miller, who is married, and A.J. Delgado, a Trump surrogate, were having an affair. Ms. Delgado, who is of Cuban descent, was a rising star within the Trump campaign.
Shortly after Miller was appointed White House communications director, Delgado began posting inappropriate tweets about him.
The Cuban firecracker wrote, “Congratulations to the baby-daddy on being named WH Comms Director!”
Miller and his wife are expecting their second child in January.
Delgado then tweeted that Miller was “The 2016 version of John Edwards,” referring to the disgraced presidential candidate who was caught having an affair during his 2004 campaign.
Delgado finished her rant with these tweets:
“When people need to resign graciously and refuse to, its a bit . . . spooky.”
“Jason Miller. Who needed to resign . . . yesterday.”
Shortly after posting those tweets, she deleted her Twitter account and changed her cellphone number.
Clearly, the only thing worse than the wrath of a woman scorned is the wrath of a Latina scorned. The highly suggestive posts lit Twitter on fire.
On December 24th, Miller resigned from his new, highly visible post and released a statement saying, “After spending this past week with my family, the most amount of time I have been able to spend with them since March 2015, it is clear they need to be my top priority right now and this is not the right time to start a new job as demanding as White House communications director.”
Insiders said the rumors of Delgado’s inappropriate relationship with Miller, her direct supervisor, forced his resignation.
In the world of politics, decadence is ubiquitous. It is a pity that lust destroyed the promising careers of two rising stars within the Trump campaign.
