First Lady Melania Trump has remained silent as insults have been hurled at her family members — including her 10-year-old son Barron — but that’s about to change. According to White House insiders, Mrs. Trump is finalizing a team of people to manage and stop these unfair attacks.
According to Page Six, the First Lady “has had enough of left-leaning stars taking cheap shots at her and her son Barron.” She is working with a Vogue staffer and Met Ball organizer to select a chief of staff, a communications chief and a social secretary.
Rosie O’Donnell and others even suggested Barron has autism. SNL writer Katie Rich maliciously speculated that Barron Trump would be the “first homeschool shooter.” And failed comedian Stephen Spinola tweeted that said Barron Trump “…looks like a very handsome date-rapist-to-be.”
Other attacks are aimed at Melania Herself. Comedian and television host Chelsea Handler said in an interview with Variety that she wouldn’t interview Melania Trump because “she can barely speak English.”
Via Page Six: President Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, is firing back on Melania’s behalf. “Shame on Chelsea Handler for attacking our first lady in such a despicable manner.” Cohen added, “Don’t be fooled by her accent. Melania is bright and articulate. To be clear, our first lady speaks multiple languages, I believe five. How many languages do you speak, Chelsea?”
As Melania puts together her team, the White House has asked that the media respect Barron’s privacy in accordance with the “longstanding tradition that the children of presidents are afforded the opportunity to grow up outside of the political spotlight.”
