An invitation to the inauguration of Donald Trump as America’s 45th president was accepted by none other than former Olympic gold medalist Caitlin (formerly known as Bruce) Jenner.
Jenner, a transgender reality television star, has made known during interviews that she is a conservative. She was also an opponent of Hillary Clinton during her campaign for the presidency in 2016. Furthermore, Jenner has stated that she believes Donald Trump will be “good for women.”
Jenner’s decision to make the trip from California to the January 20 inauguration marks her as a rare celebrity to publicly support the president-elect and to make know her intentions to attend the event.
Caitlin Jenner, who found later life fame on ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ after her celebrated 1976 Summer Olympics Decathalon gold medal, has expressed interest in becoming a GOP ambassador to the LGBT community.
