JUST IN: US Preparing Preemptive Attack On North Korea

Tensions have been rising dramatically between the U.S. and North Korea over the past few weeks. We previously reported that it’s believed North Korea will test yet another nuclear missile on Saturday in honor of their “Day of the Sun” holiday.

Now, the U.S. is preparing a drastic plan if North Korea moves forward with the test.

Daily Mail reported that U.S. intelligence officials said our country is preparing to launch a preemptive missile strike against North Korea after obtaining satellite images that purportedly show the regime is gearing up to detonate a nuclear bomb. If the U.S. continues to believe that North Korea will launch the test, the officials said it can preemptively deploy Tomahawk missiles from two warships parked in the region.

Experts have warned that any preemptive attack could provoke Kim Jong Un and result in him attacking South Korea. On Thursday, North Korea warned the U.S. would launch a “merciless retaliatory strike” against any military action that the Western nation takes.

Earlier this week, tensions escalated when President Donald Trump sent the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier strike group to the Korean Peninsula. Intelligence officials said that bombers have also been lined up in Guam, and cyber and special operations on the ground may be utilized.
