Since the panel of the struggling ABC talk show The View is made up of a pack of liberal bullies, it’s extremely difficult for the token conservative to keep her job for more than a season or two. Candace Cameron-Bure learned that the hard way today…
Like many television personalities who have been ousted from their jobs, Cameron-Bure possibly tried to save face by claiming that she was leaving the talk show willingly, saying she was having trouble traveling back and forth from Los Angeles and New York while working on the Fuller House reboot for Netflix and The View.
Whoopi Goldberg is well aware of Cameron-Bure’s strong Christian views, yet she decided to insult her by making a degrading, disgusting joke at her expense after she announced the news.
“You miss your family,” Whoopi said, according to Daily Mail. “With all the sex talk we do, you miss your husband.”
Joy Behar then pounced on Cameron-Bure, saying she was doing too much. The actress relented, acknowledging, “I tried to be Superwoman, but I’m not.”
“It wasn’t an easy decision, but before I started The View I had already had my commitments to Fuller House and my work with the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. And because of the success of those, my commitments have become even greater with those shows,” said Cameron-Bure. “The commute of going West Coast to East Coast every single week for me has been tough on me and hard for my family as well, and I want to make sure that I’m able to spend at much time with my children and invest in all the projects that I do to the fullest extent.”
Cameron-Bure went on to show what a class act she is by complimenting her fellow hosts, even though they have been attacking her on a daily basis for her conservative Christian views since she joined the show.
“Particularly, I want to thank you for welcoming me to this table. I have learned to much for you, and I’m so grateful for you,” said Cameron-Bure. “It’s been really wonderful and I’m grateful and to Barbara [Walters, creator of the show] as well as showrunner Candi Carter.”
Cameron-Bure may be saying she chose to leave The View, but it seems odd given the fact that she hasn’t been on the show very long. It should be noted that loudmouth liberal Whoopi Goldberg has been on the show for almost ten years, while Joy Behar has been there for nearly 20.
Once again, The View is trying to silence the voice of a conservative Christian. SHARE this story if you think the show should be taken OFF the air!
