The first presidential debate is set to take place in just a few hours, and Hillary Clinton was just hit with some news that will definitely throw her off her game.
A new Bloomberg poll was released today that has revealed Donald Trump has overtaken Clinton and now has a two point lead over her. Just a few days ago, Clinton enjoyed a two point lead over Trump, but they have since switched positions in the polls.
“Trump gets 43 percent to Clinton’s 41 percent when third-party candidates are included,” the Bloomberg poll said, according to Conservative Tribune.
This comes as Clinton’s support has plummeted in recent weeks as concerns over her health have grown. Back in June, she led Trump by 12 points, and she was convinced she had this election in the bag. However, by August, Clinton was only six points ahead of The Donald. Now, as we said, she is behind him going into the first debate.
Ann Selzer, who oversaw the Bloomberg poll, told reporters that Trump took the lead mainly because fewer and fewer women and young voters are supporting Clinton. A whopping 57% of voters have an unfavorable view of Clinton in regards to her use of a private email during her time as Secretary of State.
These numbers mean that Clinton is going into tonight with more pressure than ever to perform. Going into tonight’s debate, Trump will have lots of momentum in confidence.
Things certainly aren’t looking good for Hillary Clinton…
