Hillary Clinton went into panic mode on Thursday after an email exchange was released that confirms the former Secretary of State abandoned a secure line in 2009 when she experienced technical problems and opted to use her home phone instead.
The emails were obtained by Judicial Watch through an open records request, and they involve an exchange between Clinton and her then-chief of staff Cheryl Mills. The women were having trouble getting ahold of each other at the time.
“I called some time ago to do a secure call with you — call them and ask them to try the connection,” Mills wrote Clinton in February of 2009, according to The Blaze.
“I give up. Call me on my home #,” Clinton responded.
“Just did – no answer,” Mills replied.
It is unknown if the two women were ever able to actually connect via phone, and the Clinton campaign have refused to comment on the emails. However, many have pointed out that this exchange is yet more evidence that Clinton is far too irresponsible and dishonest to ever be trusted as our president.
“This drip, drip of new Clinton emails show Hillary Clinton could not care less about the security of her communications,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement. “How many other smoking gun emails are Hillary Clinton and her co-conspirators in the Obama administration hiding from the American people?”
