Haven’t Had Enough Of The Clintons? Chelsey Is About To Run For…

Just when you thought the Clinton dynasty was done, there is this. The New York Post has reported that Chelsey Clinton is getting ready to run for Congress.

Chelsea will likely run for the seat in NYC’s 17th Congressional District, currently held by Rep. Nita Lowey, who is 79-years-old. Lowey’s district includes Rockland and Westchester counties as well as Chappaqua, where Bill and Hillary call home.

Apparently, preparations for Chelsea’s run has been in the making for years.

In August, Hillary and Bill Clinton purchased the home next to their own house in Chappaqua for over $1 million. The Post reports that this home was purchased for Chelsea and her family.

It must be nice to have mom and dad buy you a million dollar home. Yes, these are the politicians who told us they are in touch with ordinary Americans.

Chelsea currently lives in Manhattan, where she is registered to vote. But in typical Clinton carpetbagger style, the younger Clinton could easily move into the new Chappaqua house, call it her new legal residence, and immediately run for Congress once Lowery’s seat becomes vacant.

A family friend of the Clintons told the Post, “While it is true the Clintons need some time to regroup after Hillary’s crushing loss, they will not give up. Chelsea would be the next extension of the Clinton brand. In the past few years, she has taken a very visible role in the Clinton Foundation and on the campaign trail. While politics isn’t the life Hillary wanted for Chelsea, she chose to go on the campaign trail for her mother and has turned out to be very poised, articulate and comfortable with the visibility.”

With her parent’s power base firmly entrenched in New York, Chappaqua would be an ideal spot for Chelsea to kick off her political ambitions, and give new life to the Clinton “brand”. Indeed, that “brand” needs a makeover.

Chelsea, a mainstream media darling, was once employed by NBC News as a special correspondent and paid an annual salary of $600,000. Before that, she worked for the hedge fund Avenue Capital Group. Today, Chelsea works for the Clinton Foundation, where is is reportedly paid an handsome salary of $900,000. With nepotistic career opportunities like these, it’s laughable to suggest that the 36 year-old Chelsea understands the true working man and woman of America.
