Former FBI Director James Comey gave some truly terrifying testimony during Monday’s Senate Committee meeting. Almost buried within his testimony regarding Hillary Clinton’s emails and the Democrat and media tag-team effort to push the Russian collusion hoax was Comey’s statements relating to the percentage of terrorist acts carried out or planned by refugees.
Ready for the number? Fifteen percent.
Fifteen percent of the terrorism cases investigated by the FBI are acts committed by or plans plotted by refugees. Not 15 percent simply by immigrants, but 15 percent by just a small fraction of immigrants – refugees.
Of the entire population of immigrants to the United States, it is undoubted that far fewer than 15 percent are refugees. And that is not even getting into terrorist acts and plans by homegrown threats, like Antifa or environmental extremists, the Orlando nightclub killer or Major Nidal Malik Hasan of the Fort Hood massacre infamy. In other words, refugees are way, way, over-represented among those who plan and commit terror attacks on American soil.
Following is Comey, providing testimony regarding the terrorism threat posed by refugees to the Senate Intelligence Committee:
Comey: [W]e have about 1,000 home grown violent extremist investigations and we probably have another 1,000 or so that are — I should define my terms. Home grown violent extremists, we mean somebody — we have no indication that they’re in touch with any terrorists.
Senator Tillis: Any foreign touch. Right.
Comey: Yes. Then we have another big group of people that we’re looking at who we see some contact with foreign terrorists. So you take that 2,000 plus cases, about 300 of them are people who came to the United States as refugees.
Part of the problem, as Comey has stated, is that the quality of vetting that U.S. intelligence agencies can conduct is limited by the availability of information on the individuals being vetted. There simply isn’t robust information, or sometimes any information, available for a large number of refugees attempting to enter the United States.
It is simply impossible, no matter the efforts used by U.S. intelligence to determine the backgrounds of refugees desiring entry into the U.S., to filter out the “bad guys” from the those who are harmless.
President Trump’s temporary travel ban from regions designated as having high terrorist risks would be a great start to dealing with this extremely dangerous threat, if only liberal activist judges would stop overstepping their bounds and blocking it.
Former-president Barack Obama felt that more American casualties from terrorist acts was a worthwhile price to pay for the higher good of accepting more people from societies hostile to the American way of life. He was hardly alone, as this is the sentiment of the liberal-dominated media and elites.
For the Left, increased incidents of mayhem from terrorism is simply the price we must pay in order to pursue their never-ending and unattainable goal of utopia on earth.
