Last week, the FBI announced that it was re-opening the case into Hillary Rodham Clinton for using an unsecured email server while she was Secretary of State. The announcement caused panic in the Clinton campaign and her poll numbers have plummeted by double digits.

Initially, FBI Director James Comey said that he did not know how long the investigation would take since hundreds of thousands of emails were discovered. The FBI implied that it could take many months, and that their investigation would not be over until well after the election.

But on Monday evening, with pressure mounting from the Clinton campaign, the FBI announced that it hopes to conduct the “preliminary assessment” in the coming days.

Given that the best friend of Hillary Clinton’s campaign advisor is now in charge of the investigation, it is likely that the FBI will announce that nothing incriminating was found just to let her off the hook before the election.

Unfortunately for Hillary, however, the damage may have already been done. She is currently tied with Donald Trump in all the major polls, and her base will be less likely to turn out to vote for her. The majority of American people additionally find her to be untrustworthy and unlikable — not a good combination in politics.
