Everyone’s Talking About What Melania Trump Did on Easter

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania spent Easter weekend at the Trump Estate in Mar-a-Lago. During their weekend visit, the President made good use of some beautiful Florida April weather to recharge his batteries and get his mind off of national issues to play some rounds of golf. Meanwhile, Melania took time the morning of Good Friday to visit HomeSafe in Lake Worth. HomeSafe is a residence for young domestic abuse victims.

From the Palm Beach Post:

“This is a day that the girls will never forget,” said Matthew Ladika, the chief executive officer of HomeSafe.

While President Donald Trump visited his golf club this morning, Melania Trump arrived at HomeSafe at about 10:15 and spent about 45 minutes talking with a group of girls between the ages of 12 and 17, Ladika said. The girls were all removed from their families by court orders and placed in HomeSafe’s residential program, the agency said.

“It was extra special and touching…She asked them what their interests are,” Ladika said.

Melania Trump brought the girls gifts and brought Easter baskets and stuffed bunnies for other children at other HomeSafe residences.

It should come as no surprise that the national media ignored the unannounced visit to HomeSafe by the First Lady, instead focusing on the President taking a few hours out to visit nearby Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach.

The adoration of the media when covering former-President’s frequent golf excursions comes as quite a contrast to their incessant condemnation of the current President when he does the same.

The mainstream media has been complicit in a full-court press to downplay every positive of the First Family, while spinning anything and everything the President does as appalling.

Melania Trump is truly a kind-hearted person, who has filled the role of First Lady with incredible grace, and we should all appreciate how fortunate the country is to have such a fantastic role model in the White House.

The young people who call HomeSafe home certainly do.
