Last weekend, conservatives everywhere were livid when Beyonce performed an anti-police song during the Super Bowl.
Beyonce reportedly performed her new anti-cop song “Formation” during the halftime show as she was flanked by dancers dressed as members of the violent Black Panthers movement.
This disgusting performance reminded us of the time Carrie Underwood performed at the Super Bowl, but she chose to go a very different route than Beyonce. According to Taste of Country, Carrie sang the “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl back in 2010, and her performance could not have been more different than this year’s show.
“The Star-Spangled Banner” is known as one of the most difficult songs one can sing because of the range it requires, but Carrie performed it flawlessly. While Beyonce used the moment at the Super Bowl to shamelessly race-bait, Carrie used hers to give thanks to the country she loves.
