For the last nine days, the country music world has been praying for singer Craig Strickland, who went missing right after Christmas while out hunting. Now, this story has come to a very tragic end…
Last week, it was reported that country music star Craig Strickland had gone missing. Now, a tragic update to this story has just been revealed.
According to Daily Mail, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol recovered the body of 29 year-old Strickland today in Bear Creek Cove on Kaw Lake. Strickland’s wife Helen, a former Miss Arkansas who he had been married to for just one year, confirmed the news on her Twitter.
“He is safe with his Father in Heaven,” she wrote. “Thank you Lord for leading us to him today. I will praise you, Amen.”
Strickland, the frontman for the up and coming band Backroad Anthem, disappeared on December 26 along with his friend Chase Morland after the two went on a duck hunting trip just before a storm. Morland’s body was recovered a week ago, and a search team had been looking for Strickland ever since.
Please keep Strickland’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
