Muslim terrorists set off two bombs in a Baghdad marketplace in an attack that killed 59 people and injured nearly 100 more.
According to Yahoo News, the first bomb went off in the crowded Mredi market in the Shiite district of Sadr City. Just a few minutes later, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives in the area of the market where people had gathered after the attack.
Interior Ministry spokesman Sad Main originally put the death toll at 38 with 62 people injured, but hospital officials later revealed that it was actually 59 dead and 95 wounded. This is the most deadly of the recent terrorist attacks in Baghdad, which are becoming more and more common.
